94 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 110 recoveries

Malta has registered 94 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 3,558 swab tests, while 110 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

Details on new active cases will be given by Prof Charmaine Gauci at 12:30, which will be streamed on saħħa.

To date, Malta has registered 11,569 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 9,780 have recovered, 183 died and 1,606 are still active.

Flights between Malta and Libya in discussion of restart

After a number of years of having no flights operated by AirMalta to Libya, the Foreign Affairs Ministry has been discussing the possibility of re-opening flights to Libya.

This happened after a series of discussions with Libyan Deputy Home Affairs Minister Al Shaibani between the 15th and the 17th of December.
