Ranger K9 Rescues Orphaned Hedgehog At Night

Malta Ranger Unit shared to their Facebook, a small orphaned hedgehog found at night by Ranger K9.

Just as soon as their routine patrol was about to end Ranger K9indicated a side at the side of a country lane.

The Rangers Unit investigated the area and discovered a small hedgehog in distress. Upon checking, they found it was severely underweight — too small for a hoglet to survive without its mother.

Now, Named Emma, the hedgehog was handed over to Wild life Rescue Team Malta for better care and nurture.

Hedgehogs are protected by Maltese law (S.L. 549.44). If found in distress, one should always call the Wildlife Rescue Team on 99999 505 (24/7).
