Public Property In Birkirkara Leased To The Sant’Elena Band Club For Free Music Education

A public property currently under the responsibility of the Lands Authority has been leased to the Sant’Elena Band Club in Birkirkara, to be used for the provision of free music education to new students. The property is located in Birkirkara.

Minister for Culture, the Arts and Local Government, Owen Bonnici, explained that this transfer not only adds value to public property but also strengthens the local community by providing tangible opportunities for organisations such as the Sant’Elena Band Club to continue fostering musical talent in an open and accessible manner. Minister Bonnici said, “This is an investment in our young people and in the cultural future of our country.”

The Band Club will have a dedicated space from which it can continue to serve the community, particularly young people, by offering free musical training. This initiative will strengthen the Club’s educational and cultural work, while also adding value to public property by putting it to the service of the people.
The transfer agreement was signed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Lands Authority, Robert Vella; Anthony Saliba, in his capacity as President of the Sant’Elena Band Club; and Antoine Borg, Secretary of the Sant’Elena Band Club.
