Prime Minister Wants To Decrease Homework Load

Speaking on Popolin, Prime Minister Robert Abela said that he’d like to see homework amounts decrease and a boost on extra-curricular activities.

The Prime Minister said that he was thinking as a father, explaining that it bothers him to see his daughter (Giorgia Mae) finishing school at around 2 or 3pm and then spending up until 10pm doing homework.

He said that he’d rather students in Malta and Gozo having less homework and then engaging in extracurricular activities.

The Prime Minister argued that this would not impact student work negatively but would instead improve the education of students.

This, he said, is something that other parents probably understand as well, hoping to use it for further educational reform.
