Bernard Grech And Shadow Ministers Meet MCESD Members

Jul 30 2024 Share

The Opposition Leader Bernard Grech with some of his Shadow Ministers had the opportunity to meet some members of the MCESD.

The Leader of the Nationalist Party stated that the MCESD has the pulse of our country in a direct and immediate way because it knows what happened, why it happened, what is happening, and what needs to be done to strengthen our country’s competitiveness, while increasing both local and foreign investment and creating more well-paid, dignified jobs for workers.

He emphasized that we all know that, for this to happen, our country needs to have good infrastructure, be credible, and be able to anticipate future challenges with actions that start today.

The Leader of the Nationalist Party reminded us that workers and businesses are suffering from crises that could have and should have been avoided. Therefore, it is unacceptable for the Nationalist Party that there is no stability in basic and essential services, such as roads, electricity, health services, and clean beaches without sewage.

The Nationalist Party wants infrastructure that helps the economy grow sustainably and adds value. This means we need a wide range of jobs where everyone can find well-paid employment, regardless of their skills.

Bernard Grech continued that the Party he leads wants our country to have health services that are efficient and where delays are eliminated. Health enables every person to reach their potential while being productive.

The Nationalist Party’s policy must be proactive, ensuring stability, a healthy population, economic growth, social improvement, educational advancement with increased critical thinking, and a populace with more skills.

The Nationalist Party wants economic, financial, and social policies to lead to a good quality of life for the people, where you enjoy living, are physically and mentally healthy, and can plan for the future.

In light of this, the Nationalist Party offered the government its cooperation so that, unanimously, a strong message is sent to Parliament that this country deserves better. The Nationalist Party Parliamentary Group is united in the belief that Edward Scicluna should resign from his position.

The Leader of the Nationalist Party reiterated that, just as the government and opposition should be united in voice, other entities like the MCESD should also be part of the voices agreeing that Edward Scicluna should resign. For credibility, our country needs to be led by serious individuals.

During the meeting, the Leader of the Nationalist Party was accompanied by Deputy Leader Alex Perici Calascione, as well as Shadow Ministers Ivan Castillo, Alex Borg, Beppe Fenech Adami, Graham Bencini, Jerome Caruana Cilia, Ryan Callus, Mario de Marco, Robert Cutajar, and Rebekah Borg.
