Nationalist Party MP Darren Carabott has called for responsibility, unity, and respect in the lead-up to the PN leadership contest between Adrian Delia and Alex Borg.

In a Facebook post addressing recent speculation, Carabott clarified that the parliamentary group remains united behind one priority, the good of the Nationalist Party and Malta.

He dismissed claims of internal division and emphasised that both Delia and Borg are valued colleagues, stating that one will lead while the other will remain an important member of the parliamentary team.

Carabott also expressed his decision not to publicly endorse either candidate, saying that doing so would be a disservice to the democratic process.

Instead, he placed full trust in party members to make the right decision. “We would be failing in our responsibility if we publicly expressed an opinion, other than showing gratitude and trust in the members’ choice,” he wrote.

He concluded by stating that the PN parliamentary group will fully respect the outcome of the vote and will continue working in the best interest of the country. His message comes as the party gears up for what is expected to be a closely watched and highly significant leadership contest.
