The workers and medical professionals who work with our elderly deserve every appreciation for their dedication and love, ensuring that our seniors continue to live with dignity. We not only recognize them, but we also ensure they have the wages and working conditions they deserve.
This was the message of the Leader of the Nationalist Party, Bernard Grech, during his visit to the San Vinċenz De Paul Residence as part of Workers’ Day activities, where he also had the opportunity to meet with a number of residents.
During the visit, he emphasized that we should never forget our elderly; we should cherish them, respect them, listen to them, and never abandon them, not only in words but also in actions, so that their quality of life is never compromised. He said that our seniors have served our country and therefore remain one of the priorities in the Nationalist Party’s policy.
Among the employees he met were nurses, doctors, security members, engineers, manual workers, and secretaries, whose contribution is essential for the delicate care that ultimately leads to the medical treatment of the elderly. He thanked all the employees, describing them as essential to our society.
During the visit, the Leader of the Nationalist Party was accompanied by the Shadow Minister for Active Aging, Paula Mifsud Bonnici, the Shadow Minister for Social and Affordable Housing, Pensions and the Fight Against Poverty, Ivan Bartolo, as well as European Parliament election candidate, Louise Anne Pulis.
