PN Leader Candidates Urge PM To Retract Planning Reforms

Over the past weekend, Moviment Graffitti’s Andre Callus issued videos calling out new planning reforms put forth by the government which many, including the activist group, argue will dismantle safeguards and disempower the people’s ability to push against them.

In response, the Nationalist Party’s two leadership candidates, Adrian Delia and Alex Borg, both issued statements urging the Prime Minister to retract these reforms.

Former PN Leader Delia posted to social media, writing ‘Retract the obscene reforms immediately’.

On his part, Gozitan MP Alex Borg said that the Prime Minister should ‘immediately retract the reforms he put forth in parliament without any consultation.’

‘Then, a wide process of consultations should be going so that this reform empowers the people.’

‘Our country needs a Prime Minister who listens to the people and not one who insults and attacks those who do not agree with him. Robert Abela tried to bulldoze over everyone but found those who have the national interest at heart to stop him.’
