The Nationalist Party (PN) has condemned the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, calling the situation both intolerable and inhumane.

The opposition party criticised the mass killing of innocent civilians, including thousands of children, as well as the deliberate deprivation of food, water, and essential humanitarian aid to the population.

According to the PN, these actions represent not only a breach of international law but a fundamental violation of basic human rights.

The PN reiterated its belief in a two-state solution, grounded in mutual recognition and respect between the State of Israel and a sovereign Palestinian State.

As part of this position, the PN is urging the Maltese Government to formally recognise the State of Palestine.

Opposition Leader Bernard Grech also called for a united parliamentary declaration demanding an immediate ceasefire and the swift delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
