Pete Buttigieg Visits Malta For Vacation

Taking to social media, local podcaster and personality Jon Mallia shared a photo with Pete Buttigieg, who was in Malta for a private vacation with his husband and friends.

‘This was some weeks back but… I promised Pete I wouldn’t post until he left the country. He was doing his utmost to enjoy a private vacation with his husband and friends’, wrote Mallia.

‘Unfortunately I couldn’t persuade him to put his holiday on pause for a podcast – even though I obviously tried’, continued Mallia. ‘Would love to sit down and pick this man’s brain the next time he’s over.’

Buttigieg is an American politician and former naval officer who served as the 19th United States secretary of transportation from 2021 to 2025.

He has also served as the 32nd mayor of South Bend, Indiana on the Democratic Party ticket.

He has also ran in the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries, becoming also the first openly gay man to launch a Democratic presidential campaign.

Buttigieg’s father was born in Ħamrun, Malta and emigrated to the US to pursue his doctorate, meeting his wife while employed as faculty at New Mexico State University.
