Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, research and Innovation, Keith Azzopardi Tanti, announced in a press conference the fourth edition of the STEM community National fund for 2025.
This fund, managed by the Interactive Science Centre, Esplora, on behalf of Science Malta, aims to inspire and support community-based projects focused on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). For 2025, the total fund budget will be €100,000, representing a 300% increase compared to previous years.
The fund encourages schools, local councils, museums, NGOs, and other community groups to apply.
Entities are invited to collaborate with STEM professionals to create projects that are both scientifically innovative and deliver tangible, sustainable benefits to their communities.
Parliamentary Secretary Keith Azzopardi Tanti stated:
“The Government is committed to continuing its investment in and development of the research and innovation sectors. That’s why, in addition to tripling the funding compared to previous years, we are also increasing the maximum allocation per project from €8,000 to €10,000.”
