31-year-old Romanian Ilie Constantin, one of the three suspects charged with the murder of Joseff Rivas in Paceville, has pleaded not guilty to the charges in court earlier today.

Constantin was reportedly supposed to be arraigned on Sunday after being treated at Mater Dei for close to one week for accidents sustained during  last Monday’s attack.

The accused was seen entering court in a police car due to his leg still being injured. He also remained seated in front during court proceedings, where some of the accused relatives including his sister were present.

Two Romanian brothers were also taken to court before Constantin, 35-year-old Ionut-Iulian and 32-year-old Dan-Andrei Tanase, who also pleaded not guilty.

Street harassment set to become criminal offence, UK government states

Street harassment set to become criminal offence, UK government states
Dec 12 2022 Share

The UK government has stated that street harassment will be made illegal after a new law is implemented, increasing the maximum prison sentence from six months to two years.

Sexual harassment was already an illegal act, but the UK government hopes that the inclusion of street harassment as a criminal offence will increase the amount of reports made.

The government crackdown aims to decrease and, if possible, eliminate acts such as catcalling, following someone in the streets and blocking their path. A recent survey issued by the BBC revealed that two-thirds of women do not feel safe walking at night

The breakthrough bill passed unopposed after its second reading and requires a few more stages before it is officially made into law. In light of this massive step forward, UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman stated that ever woman should feel safe walking the streets.

British piano-playing YouTuber Joe Jenkins is going viral for all the right reasons after uploading a video of himself playing Disney classic ‘Under the Sea’ under the sea.

Yes, you read that right. Jenkins fully committed to playing the oh-so-familiar tune from ‘The Little Mermaid’ in its naturally habitat, with the video gaining over 354,000 views after a mere 5 days.

Jenkins, who has over 4.16 million followers at the time of writing, revealed that the video took him two years of planning, calling the logistical aspects of the project a ‘big challenge’.

Addressing similar attempts from other people, the Bristol-born content creator stated that others only submerged their keyboard halfway, but he was the first to fully submerge the instrument underwater.

As you can hear from the video, the piano is admittedly “horribly out of tune” but definitely set the bar for Jenkins’ next stunt, which he thinks could be playing Elton John’s Rocket Man in space.
