Over 5,300 People Earned More Than €120K In Malta Last Year

A parliamentary question by Opposition MP Jerome Caruana Cilia to Finance Minister Clyde Caruana has revealed updated figures on income levels in Malta in 2024.

According to data tabled in Parliament, 5,308 individuals earned more than €120,000 annually.A further 2,900 people earned between €100,000 and €119,000, while 5,584 individuals earned between €80,000 and €100,000.

The largest group consisted of 14,399 people earning between €60,000 and €80,000 a year.

In total, the figures show that over 28,000 people in Malta now earn more than €60,000 annually.

The data comes amid ongoing discussions about cost of living, wage growth, and the sustainability of Malta’s economic model as the country continues to navigate post-pandemic and inflationary pressures.
