We have just received our first glimpses at Emma Muscat’s rehearsals for her performance of ‘I Am What I Am’ for the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest in Turin.

Emma will seemingly be accompanied by four dancers as she dons a sparkly dress covered in diamond shaped designs.

She is also set to kick off her performance starting from her piano, a side of Emma we’ve gotten accustomed to seeing as she serenades the audience with her voice. But things are set to get more lively as Emma joins her dancers to bust some moves.

The entire stage glows gold throughout the performance, and Emma seems utterly ready to show what Malta has to offer for this year’s edition of the beloved competition.

Emma will be performing during the second semi-final, hoping to earn a spot in the finale. Malta is currently in 24th place amongst the other contestants in the bidding polls as tho who is fated to win, with Ukraine at the very top followed by Italy.

Maltese chef issues plea to put an end to body shaming

Local chef Daniel Grech took to Instagram to urge people to think twice before commenting on someone’s appearance. The Wagyu, Komaki and Burgers.Ink owner explained how what is worrying him isn’t his appearance, but how people react.

‘As you may have noticed, I’ve put on weight’ he said, tapping his stomach. ‘It’s something normal that happens to everybody, everyone has ups and downs in life. I even have some spots here’ he said, pointing to his face.

He went on to express how people who hadn’t seen him in months would go up to him and, instead of asking him about how he is, would comment on his weight.

‘How fat you’ve become. How many burgers are you eating?’ he said they would say. Daniel pointed out that a person never knows what someone else is going through. ‘Don’t focus on their defects, you may be causing them more harm.’

Daniel appealed for a bit more empathy in interactions and for people to show real interest in their well-being instead of focusing on their physical appearance. The post was met with much praise, highlighting how Daniel was picking up on a very real issue that needed urgent addressing.

Our Evolution: OZO Malta rebrands to OZO

Our Evolution: OZO Malta rebrands to OZO
May 2 2022 Share

When one hears the word ‘OZO’, one thinks of a longstanding family-run company, providing the best cleaning and personnel outsourcing services on the island.

A company which started with one man and a business idea over 26years ago as ‘OZO System Limited’, later changed to ‘OZO Malta’ and has now become ‘OZO’. Over the years the group worked at securing its position in the local market whilst continuously looking to expand beyond the Maltese horizon. With the company officially opening its first international branch in Budapest earlier this year; directors believed that it was the right time for a branding update.

With reference to the name change, focus has been placed on ‘OZO’ to open doors to international markets and have a more streamlined brand when the company is presented and used throughout. The branding was created with the three company pillars in mind; Our People, Our Values and Our Evolution; three important aspects which are the base of all company decisions and brought out in the day-to-day actions of each employee.

A key element of the new branding is the new logo. The logo is a mix of modern elements representing contemporary thinking and future endeavours, together with a classic touch to represent the ties with its original foundations. The launch of the rebrand was presented to all executive personnel present for OZO Group’s first employee seminar.

During the seminar; themed ‘Expanding Horizons’, the group’s Chairman and Founder, Mario Muscat and CEO, Fabio Muscat, both shared milestones of the company, exciting new projects and stories from personal experiences. They encouraged their staff to go beyond their comfort zone, push boundaries and work on building a fantastic future.

Motivational speaker Nathan Farrugia was also invited to provide an inspirational talk, together with the organisation of team building activities. The group’s strategy is to continue investing in its people and the enterprise; the rebrand was just the start to the development and evolvement of OZO.

The aim is to reach clients all over the world, providing the expert service the company is known for, as well as building new commercial relationships based on the trust and professionalism OZO always delivers.

Mejdina: the must-have portable table for summer 2022
May 2 2022 Share

Let’s face it – summer is officially here. And that means barbecues, seaside nibbles and days spent outside lapping the sizzling sun.

But placing your food somewhere in front of you when outside requires a bit of improvisation. Mejdina, the portable foldable table, seeks to remedy that situation. And that is why MaltaDaily deems it this summer’s essential must-have.

The little wooden table is perfect for any scenario – a glass of wine by the sea, as it comes equipped with glass holders, or a simple date night where you can place all your goodies comfortably in front of you.

Considering how long we’ve waited to finally enjoy a summer going out-and-about due to a certain annoying pandemic, Mejdina will facilitate our sit down meals without the hassle of having to carry any massive tables around.
