Official Details For 4th Edition Of Lejla Rnella In Kalkara

The Kalkara Local Council, with additional support from the Cultural Activities Scheme administered by the Division for Local Government, will be holding the fourth edition of Lejla Rnella. The event is scheduled for Saturday 2 August at Kalkara Bay and promises an enjoyable evening for the whole family.

Details were announced by the Parliamentary Secretary for Local Government, Alison Zerafa Civelli, and Kalkara Mayor Wayne Aquilina. The evening will feature live performances by The Travellers, Claudia Faniello, DJ Koroma, Lapes, and Nadine, among others. To ensure inclusivity, the event will also include a children’s zone and a dedicated space for persons with different abilities.

Parliamentary Secretary Zerafa Civelli noted that Lejla Rnella is part of a broader summer calendar of cultural events organised by local councils, with nearly every weekend showcasing the charm of different localities.

She added that Kottonera is one of the most visited summer destinations among Maltese and Gozitans, making this event particularly fitting. The Kalkara Local Council continues to raise the standard of this much-anticipated event, allowing families to enjoy a memorable experience in a lively and welcoming environment.

Mayor Aquilina expressed pride in hosting Lejla Rnella once again and confirmed that free parking and shuttle bus services will be provided from nearby locations between 7:30pm and 11:30pm.
