Number of active cases decrease as recoveries exceed overnight cases

As Malta has registered 76 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours with 110 recoveries, the number of active cases has dropped slightly as recoveries exceed overnight cases.

Malta currently stands at 1,891 active cases.

To date, Malta has registered 5.942 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 3,990 have recovered, 61 died and 1,891 are still active.

76 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 110 recoveries

Malta has registered 76 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 3,075 swab tests, while 110 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

Details on new active cases will be given by Prof. Charmaine Gauci during a press briefing at 12:30, which will be streamed on saħħa.

To date, Malta has registered 5,866 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 3,880 have recovered, 59 died and 1,927 are still active.

Turin Gucci store broken into during protests

Protests ramp up in Italy as the country continues to suffer the effects of the second wave of COVID-19.

Protesters in Northern Italian cities like Turin have been setting fires and looting stores, with one of the targets being the Gucci store in Turin.

Clips on Instagram have been posted of staff picking up the store window’s shattered glass.
