28,045 People Acquired Maltese Citizenship Between 2013 & 2024
According to data tabled in parliament, 28,045 people acquired Maltese citizenship from 2013 to 2024.
The information was tabled by Minister Byron Camilleri upon the request of MP Chris Said.
The data show that 2018 had the highest number of persons acquiring Maltese citizenship at 3,610 during these years in question.
Meanwhile, 2014 registered the lowest amount at 902 persons.

Kantera Put On Spontaneous Show At Malta Airport
Local band Kantera gave a spontaneous performance at the Malta International Airport before they headed off to Greece.

The band burst out their instruments and played the piano to entertain all the travellers awaiting their flights, with many jamming along to the surprise show.
Canter were on their way to Greece as part of a ‘Malta Day in Greece’ organised by the Embassy of Malta In Greece, where they showed off their Maltese Fusion Folk Music to an international audience.
