Nicola Suffers Head Injury On Love Island Games

Nicola suffered a frightening head injury during Tuesday night’s episode ofLove Island Games, after being struck by a medicine ball in a physical challenge.

According to The Sun, she was competing against Garbi Denteh in a one-on-one game that required contestants to force heavy balls onto their opponent’s side within a set time.

Garbi initially took the lead, winning the first round. In the second round, however, she accidentally hurled a ball directly at Nicola’s head, knocking the Love Island Malta star to the ground.

The match was immediately stopped as medics rushed in.

Nicola, though conscious and eager to continue, was escorted off the set for safety reasons. Host Ariana Madix later confirmed that while Nicola was feeling better, she could not remain in the competition.

As she had been ahead in the game at the time of the accident, she was declared the winner but was nonetheless sent home without saying a proper goodbye to her castmates or partner, Casey O’Gorman.

Garbi expressed regret, saying it was not how she wanted to secure victory.
