The 2024/25 season has been a milestone year for Neptunes Swimming Club, marked by historic achievements, record-breaking performances, and continued excellence in Maltese aquatic sports.

In December 2024, Neptunes made history by winning Malta’s first ever National Short Course Championship. This success was followed by another major triumph in June 2025, when the club clinched the National Long Course Championship.

These victories brought Neptunes’ total national titles to 11, along with the inaugural Short Course title, making it Malta’s most successful swimming club.

The club’s swimmers delivered standout performances, including multiple Age Group records and a National Record in the 4x50m Medley Relay.

Mya Azzopardi broke a 17-year-old National Record in the 100m freestyle, set at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, not once, but twice. She also set a new National Record in the 100m backstroke. Teammate Kyle Micallef set a National Record in the 50m freestyle.

Neptunes credited its success to the dedication of athletes, parents, committees, and coaches, including consulting coach Delon Dannhauser.

The club also celebrated its partnership with the Malta Football Association and the opening of a new indoor facility in Ta’ Qali, which will serve as a key base for future training and development.
