National Record Attempt At Longest Zalzett Tal-Malti This Saturday!

A local record attempt at the longest zalzett tal-Malti is set to take place this Saturday, 26th July.

The event will be held in celebration of one of Malta’s most iconic traditional foods, with Nigret Butcher leading the charge to create the longest-ever Maltese sausage.

The festive atmosphere will be complemented by a variety of food stands offering creative takes on the classic sausage.

Among the participants are Maypole, Nenu the Artisan Baker, Cavett, and Zwitt, each presenting their own unique zalzett creations. From traditional recipes to modern twists, visitors can expect a rich showcase of local flavours.

Adding to the event’s lively vibe, local singer Lara will be performing alongside The Jukebox, promising great entertainment throughout the evening.

The event is open to the public and is expected to attract food lovers from across the island for what promises to be a memorable celebration of Maltese culinary culture.
