Natalis Notabilis, Malta’s Christmas Village is hitting Rabat’s streets once again this coming festive season for it’s Sixth Edition.

It is the most popular and the most awaited amongst many Christmas lovers across Malta with thousands ocking to Rabat to enjoy what this winter wonderland has to offer in it’s historical streets.

This year the market will be getting bigger, and for the rst time, the event will be organised for 10 consecutive day giving the goers more time to explore unique gifts and indulge in seasonal treats and festive atmosphere.

Again a record of applications from people all across the islands to take part in this year’s edition of Natalis Notablis was surpassed with this year’s edition featuring around 90 stalls. ‘Natalis Notablis’ will be organised between the 6th and 15th December, 2024.

It will see Rabat transform into an enchanting Christmas Village as more new Christmas lights and even new wintery huts will be installed while one can enjoy new attractions around the Market.

During the event, a variety of artisanal products, traditional Christmas food and sweets will be sold while enjoying the entertainment from live buskers, attending various concerts, visiting the Live Nativity Trail and having a sip of Mulled wine.

Drug Bust Of Over 100 Kilograms Of Cocaine At Freeport

During an operation at the Freeport, the Malta Police Force made a bust of over 100 kilograms of drugs suspected to be cocaine on Wednesday evening.

The street value of the drugs is estimated to reach up to €14 million, and they were found in over 50 packets hidden amongst the cables of a container which arrived in Malta from Ecuador’s port of Guayqil.

The drug bust took place during continuous surveillance taking place by the police as part of the effort against drug trafficking, assisted by the Customs Department.

An inquiry has been opened and the drugs have been confiscated as police continue their investigations.

29 Year Old At Risk Of Dying After Finding Difficulty In Pool

A 29 year old man resident of Haz-Zabbar is in serious condition after he found himself in difficulty whilst swimming in a gym pool.

Yesterday, at around 2130hrs, police were informed that their assistance was needed in Triq Hal Farrug, Siggiewi.

Police, along with a medical team from Mater Dei Hospital, convened immediately on site, where they found the man having lost consciousness.

He was lifted out of the pool from people on site and started giving him first aid.

The victim was taken to hospital with an ambulance for more medical attention. An inquiry has been opened and investigations are ongoing.

In a video posted to the YouTube channel MoreSidemen, the British group immediately recognised the island as they played a game wherein they have to guess the name of the country via a snapshot from Google Maps.

The Sidemen have all visited Malta, with Vikkstar even getting married and performing a DJ set here.

The group were shown a street with a Bank of Valeltta building, to which they immediately recalled the capital’s city context of the Mediterranean island.
