Motorcyclist Dies After Crashing Into Sidewalk In Pieta

Yesterday, at around 1930hrs, police were informed of a traffic accident in Triq il-Marina, Pieta.
Preliminary investigations showed that a 58 year old man resident of Żejtun was driving a Honda motorcycle when he lost control, crashed into the sidewalk and fell.
He was given preliminary aid and was transported to Mater Dei Hospital via ambulance. He was unfortunately pronounced deceased a few moments later.
An inquiry has been opened and investigations are ongoing.
