More Powercuts Planned To Hit Malta This Morning

More planned power cuts have been announced to be happening this morning by Enemalta. They have published a list of localities to be hit with the power cuts this morning all till early afternoon. Although we have already been hit with an unexpected country wide power cut  yesterday, Enemalta took to their socials yesterday to keep everyone updated on the manner, and why the power cut had occurred.

Enemalta had mentioned how yesterday’s power cut happened because the Malta-Sicily Interconnector was switched off Sunday morning for maintenance works. As the testing of the switch gear was being done at Magħtab, a number of distribution feeders tripped at 6pm which resulted to the power cut across the country.

Kylian Mbappe is set to lead the French team on a charge against the Austrian team today at 21:00 in Dusseldorf.

There’s still hope from the Austrian’s however, with midfielder Christoph Baumgartner anticipating the match and their opening opponents as the toughest team they could have faced in an opening game.

“But I believe that if we get off to a good start, if we do what we’ve been doing over the last few weeks and months, then anything is possible in this match. But, of course, we have to play at the top of our game – there’s no question about that – if we want to have a real chance of competing.”

The afternoon and evening of matches is set to start off with Romania vs Ukraine kicking off Group E in Munich. This is the first ever competitive meeting of these two countries, having only faced each other in friendlies.

Before the France-Austria match, Frankfurt is set to see Belgium playing against Slovakia for Group E as well.
