The European Union may be authorising a second COVID-19 vaccine to be administered in the EU as Council chief Charles Michel reports an approval “in the coming hours”.
EU member states have been putting pressure on the European Medicines Agency to give the go-ahead to the Moderna vaccine with countries like Israel moving forward rapidly.

While not guaranteeing certainty, Michel reiterated that the authorities hope to give the green-light to the Moderna vaccine and increase vaccination across the EU.
