Mildred Azzopardi To Be Given Final Farewell This Saturday At Floriana Parish Church

62-year-old Mildred Azzopardi will be laid to rest this Saturday morning at 09:15 AM at the Floriana Parish Church, following a tragic accident that claimed her life on Tuesday night in Xatt il-Barriera, Valletta.

Mildred was spending a quiet evening with her husband, sipping tea and enjoying pastizzi by the seafront, when a collision between a Subaru Impreza and a parked Ford Fiesta ended in tragedy.

The impact trapped her between the two vehicles, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 69-year-old man from Ħamrun, who was in the Ford Fiesta, sustained serious injuries, while the 23-year-old driver from Paola emerged unharmed.

Taking to Instagram, her daughter Amy Azzopardi, asked everyone intending to come to the funeral to not wear black and preferably wear turqiouse or orange as those where her favourite colours.
