Despite a fast start from Ħamrun, it was Birkirkara who equalized through a powerful strike from Alex Satariano. Birkirkara took the lead with an own goal from Steve Borg, but Ħamrun fought back with Uros Duranovic converting a penalty.

Extra-time saw intense action, with both teams reduced to ten men. In a pivotal moment, Sylla replaced the goalkeeper and made decisive saves to secure Birkirkara’s 4-3 shootout victory, ending Ħamrun Spartans’ hopes of a treble.

The match ultimately culminated in Birkirkara’s triumph and advancement to the next stage of the FA Trophy.

The photo, uploaded by Marta Rucinska, shows a phallic shaped balcony drain, with Marta writing:

‘Even though I have lived on the island for more than a decade, it never ceases to surprise me…’

What do you make of this?
