Scoring the opening goal for his team, this marks his 496th strike in the European top five leagues.This goal means that he has surpassed other football legend Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of 495 to become the all-time top scorer in European top-five leagues.
The record was of course celebrated by PSG and Messi fans alike all over social media, as they highlighted the player’s groundbreaking achievement, despite just having coming off a rough patch with the team due to a trip to Saudi.
