Meridianbet Steps Up CSR In 2025 With Impactful Community & Sustainability Initiatives

From scholarships and sustainability to charity walks and sports-based donations, Meridianbet, part of the publicly listed Golden Matrix Group (GMGI), has once again demonstrated its commitment to corporate social responsibility throughout 2025 supporting causes that span both local and international communities.

Supporting Women, Education & Health

This year’s initiatives began with a meaningful gesture for International Women’s Day, as Meridianbet partnered with the FIDEM Foundation to support women facing socio-economic hardship. This was followed by a continued global commitment to education, marking five years of the Meridianbet Foundation Global Scholarship Programme, which has supported over 1,000 students across multiple continents.

In April, the company turned its annual blood donation drive into a global CSR tradition, aligning it with World Blood Donor Day.

Donations Tied to Sport

Meridianbet also used sport as a platform for giving. Its five-a-side charity tournament earlier this year raised funds for Inspire Malta, an NGO helping individuals with disabilities. Meanwhile, the company doubled its contribution during the Meridianbet FA Trophy by increasing its Kull Gowl Jagħmel Differenza campaign donation to €200 per goal during the semifinals,  providing direct support to Inspire.

In another show of solidarity, staff members joined thousands of others in the Puttinu Cares Good Friday Walk, combining presence with purpose to raise awareness for families affected by cancer.

A Sustainable Future

Meridianbet has also been quietly driving change through its ambitious environmental programme. In just one quarter, the group launched over 80 sustainability projects globally, from reducing energy usage in offices to community-led recycling efforts. The initiative aligns with its broader environmental goals of reducing its carbon footprint and encouraging employee-led green solutions.

Bringing It All Together

Crowning these efforts was the Meridianbet FA Trophy Final, not just a celebration of local football, but also a showcase of the company’s growing role in social impact. With initiatives ranging from donation drives to inclusive fan experiences, the event reflected Meridianbet’s holistic CSR approach, one that integrates sport, community, and responsibility.
