MEP Daniel Attard: “Genocide Is Still Unfolding Before Our Very Eyes”

In a recent video, MEP Daniel Attard said: “Today, genocide is still unfolding before our very eyes. Genocide in our time. The atrocities of the Second World War are being repeated today, ironically by the Israeli government, which continues to commit crimes against humanity. Every passing day means more children are being killed, more families destroyed and more dreams buried beneath the rubble.”

He added, “But let’s be clear, it is not only Netanyahu who has blood on their hands. We in Europe are complicit every time we remain silent. Every time word of condemnation stays on paper or social media and never turns into action.”

Attard emphasised, “Every time political and commercial interests are placed before human life. Can we stop this? Yes. Can we stop the sale of arms? Yes. Can we impose sanctions? Yes. But we don’t, because comfort and political calculations have become more important than human life.”

Attard’s remarks come amid the ongoing war in Gaza, highlighting the humanitarian crisis.
