Man Grievously Injured In Reported Knife Fight In Ħamrun

Yesterday, at around 1830hrs, police were informed of an argument which took place in Triq il-Mimosa, Ħamrun.

Police convened immediately on site and preliminary investigations found that an argument had broken out between a 31 year old Egyptian man resident of Ħamrun and a 57 year old Palestinian man resident of St Paul’s Bay.

A knife was reportedly used during the altercation. The Egyptian man was given medical aid and taken to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was certified as having suffered grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Teachers Create Amazing Sports Day Atmosphere For Students

‘It is our duty to make the students happy’, wrote Tristan Nappa Licari, sharing videos of an exciting sports day atmosphere at Birkirkara Primary School.

Students were treated to all sorts of activities, and were even given a chance to lift a trophy World Cup style.

The teachers and school staff wanted to make the day a memorable experience for all the students in attendance as they engaged in physical activities and games as part of the scholastic year’s push for more sports in a student’s life.
