Matthew Perry, famed for his iconic role in the popular US sitcom Friends, passed away from an apparent drowning in his residence.
The actor was 54 years of age.
Los Angeles Police received a 911 call at 4:07 pm local time (12:07 am UK time).
The event at Perry’s Pacific Palisades residence in LA was handled as a water rescue.
No evident foul play has been reported, and the exact cause of death remains unconfirmed. An investigation is currently underway.
