Massive firework ‘Ballun tal-Blalen’ shines over Gozo for Santa Marija closing

As Santa Marija celebrations came to a close,  Jason Folfol’s firework spectacular called ‘il-Ballun tal-Blalen’ lit up the night sky with colour. Folfol works with the Saint Joseph Fireworks in Hal Ghaxaq, with a beautiful snapshot captured by local photographer Daniel Cilia.

The photograph captures the moment the colourful explosion made the dark sky over Ta’ Cenc’s cliffs a canvas of fireworks. The Maltese are known for their innovation with fireworks, being a crucial and cultural aspect of local feasts.
