Maltese football star Maria Farrugia opened the score against Reading FC Women with a stunning goal for her side Lewes FC.
Despite the game ending in a draw of 2-2, with Lewes in 11th place and Reading in 9th place, Farrugia has been leaving a very good impression in the second highest division of women’s football in England, the FA Women’s Super League 2.
Farrugia has also played for other sides in the WSL2, including Durham Women and Sunderland FC, elevating her name as a formidable player on the pitch.
