Australian actress and producer Margot Robbie recently welcomed a baby boy on October 17, according to reports.

The 34-year-old actress, known for her role in Barbie, gave birth a bit earlier than expected, with both mother and child doing well.

Her husband, Tom Ackerley, was seen preparing for the arrival, picking up baby supplies near their Venice Beach home. Despite her pregnancy, Robbie remained active professionally, balancing her projects with hospital visits.

Robbie’s last public appearance was on October 13, and she’s been taking time off at home to prepare for her son’s arrival. Robbie and Ackerley, who first met in 2013 on the set of Suite Française, married in 2016.

They co-founded LuckyChap Entertainment in 2014, producing acclaimed films such as I, Tonya and Promising Young Woman, as well as the blockbuster Barbie (2023), which earned Robbie an Oscar nomination as a producer.

Starting her career on Neighbours in 2008, Robbie rose to fame with roles in The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) and I, Tonya (2017).

Her career highlights include Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Bombshell, and her recent Barbie success, making her one of Hollywood’s leading talents.

Maltese Artist Living In Valencia Seeks Help After Flood Damages Home

Nov 2 2024 Share

A Maltese man is seeking any help and donations after his home was severely impacted by the recent flooding in Valencia.

Artist Steven Scicluna had been living in his Valencia house for about four months when the catastrophic storm hit the region.

In a Facebook post, he shared, “The ground floor was inundated with 1.6 meters of water in just two hours, and everything there was damaged beyond repair or washed away.”

The devastating storm has resulted in a tragic loss of life, with officials reporting 155 bodies recovered in the eastern Valencia region, alongside three additional fatalities in Castilla-La Mancha and Andalusia.

This disaster marks the deadliest flooding incident in Spain’s modern history.

While authorities have not provided a specific number of missing persons, Defence Minister Margarita Robles indicated that the death toll could increase as some areas remain inaccessible to rescue teams.

Steven expressed gratitude to those who reached out to him and his family, as well as the locals who assisted in cleaning up their home.

He noted, “With each passing day, it becomes clear just how challenging the recovery process will be for us and the community. The scale of the disaster is unimaginable.”

He urged the public to support his family’s GoFundMe page, promising that any excess funds would be donated to the Valencia community.

Kemi Badenoch Elected New Conservative Leader

Nov 2 2024 Share

Tory MP Kemi Badenoch has been elected as the new Conservative Party leader after former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak decided to leave his role following the woeful general election result.

The former Minister for Women and Equalities managed to beat Robert Jenrick by a margin of 12,000 votes.

Badenoch’s appointment marks a new era for the Conservative party as she is not only the party’s first ever black leader but also the first right-wing leader the party has had for quite a while after many years under centre right ruling.

The new leader campaigned as the ‘anti-woke’ candidate under the slogan “Renewal 2030,” with her full focus being on winning the next general election.

Badenoch is known for her direct and sometimes controversial regarded as ‘far-right’ views on topics like gender equality, maternity pay, and climate change commitments.

In her acceptance speech, Badenoch recognized the efforts of her competitors, proposing that each candidate from the leadership race should have a role moving forward. However, the structure of her shadow cabinet remains unconfirmed.

Badenoch emphasized her party’s duty as the official opposition: to hold the Labour government accountable while preparing to offer a strong alternative by the next election.
