Maltese Talent To Perform Every Wednesday At New Green Open Campus In Mosta

One of the best aspects of summer in Malta is the endless array of activities going on around the island, and Project Green have committed to showcasing the island’s green spaces with weekly unplugged sessions featuring some of Malta’s best talent.

Featuring acts like Aidan, Red Electric, Xarulu, Ryan Paul and more, the new Green Open Campus, close to Mosta’s MCAST, will debut in style this summer. Apart from promoting local artists, the ‘Midweek Unplugged’ sessions promise to be an unforgettable evening in the park.

If you’re a fan of Maltese music, enjoy a chilled midweek fix or just want to take a look at Mosta’s new green space, make sure to attend the events organised by Project Green, in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation (MCCFF) every Wednesday at 7pm from July 5th onwards.

100 Million Empty Drink Containers Recycled Via BCRS

BCRS Malta took to social media to announce that a whopping 100 million empty drink containers have been recycled. 

‘Together with the support of our incredible community, BCRS Malta has successfully collected and recycled a staggering 100 million used beverage containers’, the operator revealed on social media.

The company said that they aim to build on this ‘tremendous achievement and further strengthen our recycling initiatives.’ 

This comes ahead of the announcement of the opening of ‘no less than the 5 new Jumbo RVM depots and their locations, in addition to the ones operating in Luxol and Ħal Far.’ 

The scheme was quickly accustomed to on the island, with localities even introducing initiatives to urge people to recycle more. 

Earlier this month, the Żebbuġ local council placed a temporary BCRS machine in the village square and managed to get around 14,000 bottles and cans recycled during the village feast.

You’re used to seeing them in ‘nice suits and cool cars’, but local creator @malta.ai has reimagined Malta’s Prime Minister and leader of the Opposition if they were homeless. 

The AI creator took Robert Abela and Bernard Grech and stripped them of their usual polished looks everyone is accustomed to when deliver speeches and address the nation.

Instead, malta.ai’s images depicts them in ragged clothes, with unkempt hair and in need of a shower. It’s not a sight we’re used to, but it does make us wonder what would happen if the ranks of lay people and those high up in power were reversed.
