Maltese Footballer Luke Gambin Set To Star In New Baller League

Maltese footballer Luke Gambin is set to star in the newly established and star-studded Baller League UK, and will be managed by Arsenal legend Ian Wright and England international Chloe Kelly.

Also involved in the league are stars such as KSI, Miniminter, TBJZL, Luis Figo, Alan Shearer and IShowSpeed.

Taking to Instagram, Luke Gambin stated that it was ‘Time to inspire the youngsters” and quoted new manager Ian Wright by saying “It’s never too late to reignite the passion”.

Gambin was drafted by Wright’s and Kelly’s team Wembley Rangers AFC and will have to adjust to 6-a side indoor football, similar to futsal.

The games consist of two halves of 15 minutes however in the final three minutes of each half, the teams are reduced to three players per side. Goalkeepers are also not allowed to use their hands, while long-range goals count as double.

Lufthansa Technik Malta is investing €22 million in a new wide-body aircraft maintenance hangar in Luqa, supported by Malta Enterprise and INDIS.

Announced by Prime Minister Robert Abela, the project includes a new parking zone for three aircraft and will generate 70 skilled jobs.

The company provides maintenance for all Airbus models except the A380 and services the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

This expansion strengthens Malta’s position in the global Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) sector, contributing to its €600 million aviation industry.

Prime Minister Abela highlighted Malta’s strong economic performance, noting an 86% growth since 2013, surpassing the Eurozone average of 14%. He emphasised the government’s focus on quality job creation, supporting initiatives like the ‘chooseaviation’ campaign to attract local talent.

Economy Minister Silvio Schembri called the investment a milestone in Malta’s aviation sector, reinforcing its role as an MRO hub in Europe.

He stressed the government’s commitment to infrastructure, talent, and technology to sustain aviation growth under Malta Vision 2050.

Lufthansa Technik COO Harald Gloy stated that Malta will be the first global base for Boeing-licensed 787 Dreamliner cabin modifications, enhancing job opportunities.

Rolling Bee – The Kannoli and Coffee Bar brings Busy Bee’s rich legacy directly to customers, offering a range of traditional favourites such as the iconic classic kannoli, along with new and exclusive kannoli flavours, dark chocolate with almonds, milk chocolate with hazelnuts, and white chocolate with pistachios. In addition to its signature sweets, the outlet serves a variety of fresh pastries and Busy Bee’s best-loved treats.

The official launch weekend took place on Saturday, 8th March and Sunday, 9th March, following its initial opening on Friday, 28th February. Transport Officials Intervened In 60 Accidents Last Week

Last week, Transport Malta officials intervened in 60 road accidents, with 7 of the accidents involving injuries.

The medium clearance time of the accidents was 20 minutes.

Monday 3rd March registered the highest amount of incidents at 17, with a response time of 14 minutes.

Transport Malta encourage drivers to be vigilant whilst commuting to avoid any injuries and accidents that may result.
