Maltese Creator JP Caruana Part of Ultra Miami Aftermovie Team

Maltese creative (and a former Malta Daily team member 💛) JP Caruana has played a key role in producing the official aftermovie for Ultra Miami 2025, one of the world’s biggest electronic music festivals.

JP was invited by renowned filmmaker Charly “Final Kid” to join the crew for the 25th anniversary edition of Ultra. Preparations began months in advance, with the team planning how to incorporate nostalgic moments, tracks, and visuals from past editions into this year’s production.

During the three-day festival at Bayfront Park, which drew 165,000 fans from over 100 countries, Caruana was part of the filming crew covering all eight stages and headline performances. Once the festival wrapped, post-production began, taking about three months and including an intensive month in Amsterdam working alongside creators Final Kid and Viztron.

Ultra Miami 2025 featured historic moments including Skrillex’s long-awaited solo return, Afrojack bringing out David Guetta and Sia to perform “Titanium” live for the first time, and groundbreaking back-to-back sets from Anyma b2b Solomun and deadmau5 b2b Pendulum.

Caruana also worked on other Ultra editions in Croatia, Japan, and Korea throughout the summer.
