Malta’s Zebra Crossings Turn Pink to Mark Pink October–Movember 2025

Malta’s zebra crossings have been transformed into a striking shade of pink in a bold show of support for Pink October–Movember Malta 2025.
The initiative, “Zebras Go Pink”, was launched with a walk across the newly painted pink and white zebra crossing at the Mtarfa Bypass.
Leading the event were Campaign Chair and Leader Michelle Muscat, Mr Michael Cohen from Transport Malta, and Mtarfa Mayor Mr Dale Hayman.

In a statement, Michelle Muscat highlighted the importance of the educational campaign, which aims to empower the public to take charge of their health through proper self-checks, regular screenings, and overcoming the fear that often delays early diagnosis.
This year, the campaign focuses on breast, ovarian, and cervical cancers in women, and testicular and prostate cancers in men.
Zebra crossings in Gozo have also turned pink this year, underlining the island’s commitment to the cause.
Funds raised through Pink October–Movember Malta 2025 will this year go towards establishing an Oncology Community Mobile Unit in Gozo, bringing essential support and screening services closer to the local community.
