Malta’s Expected Working Age For 15 Year Olds Is 39 Years

According to new data released by Eurostat, Malta’s expected average duration of working life for 15 year olds in 2024 was set at 39 years old.
Further data reveals that the expected average working life for Maltese men was set at 42.3 years, whereas for women it was set at 35.4.
In the same year, the expected average duration of working life for 15 year olds in the EU was 37.2 years.
The highest was registered in The Netherlands at 43.8 years, followed by Sweden (43.0 years) and Denmark (42.5 years).
The lowest was registered in Romania at 32.7 years, followed by Italy at 32.8 years. Croatia, Greece and Bulgaria each registered 34.8 years in third lowest.
