Malta With Highest Number Of Healthy Life Years In EU

According to new data released by Eurostat, Malta registered the highest number of healthy life years at birth for both men and women.
The ages were 71.7 years for men and 71.1 for women, surpassing the EU average of 63.1 years in 2023.
Across the EU, 63.3 was the average healthy life year amount for women and 62.8 for men.
Meanwhile, Latvia recorded the lowest number of healthy life years for men (51.2) and women (54.3).
This concerns the number of years that a person is expected to live without an activity limitation (disability).
