Malta Takes Over Presidency Of Council Of Europe’s Committee Of Ministers

Malta has officially taken over the Presidency of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers from Luxembourg during the 134th session held today in Luxembourg.
Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Alan Berset said, “Thank you to @Xavier.bettel and Luxembourg for its leadership during 6 pivotal months for Europe. As the Council of Europe places democratic security at the heart of Europe’s future, we now look to Malta’s Presidency — and to @borg.ian chairing the Committee of Ministers on 28 May.”

Foreign Minister Ian Borg expressed Malta’s pride in assuming the role, “It is an honour for @maltagov @malta_coe to take on the Presidency of the @councilofeurope today, during the 134th session of the Committee of Ministers in Luxembourg.”
