Malta Ranks Among EU’s Best for Life Expectancy, according to Eurostat

Malta has ranked among the top European Union countries for life expectancy, according to the latest figures from Eurostat.
The data for 2023 show that the average life expectancy at birth in Malta reached 83.4 years, placing it alongside Luxembourg and Sweden, and just behind Spain (84.0 years) and Italy (83.5 years).
Women across the EU continued to live longer than men, with average life expectancy at birth standing at 84.0 years for women and 78.7 years for men.
