Malta Qualifies for Euro Beach Soccer League Superfinal

The Maltese national beach soccer team has made history by qualifying for the Euro Beach Soccer League Superfinal for the very first time.

Competing in Division B of the 2025 tournament, Malta faced strong opponents including Norway, Romania, and Kazakhstan.

The team finished third in the group, securing a vital win against Norway, suffering a defeat to Romania, and narrowly losing to Kazakhstan in a dramatic final group match.

In that final game, Malta put on a strong performance and led 4-2 heading into the third period. However, Kazakhstan mounted a comeback, scoring three late goals to take the win.

Despite the heartbreaking finish, Malta’s efforts throughout the group stage earned them a well-deserved place in the prestigious Superfinal, a historic achievement that marks a major milestone for Maltese beach soccer.
