Toy Room Malta was on fire last night as Miriana, Malta’s freshly crowned Eurovision winner, took the stage at Blush, the club’s buzzing karaoke-themed night. With the venue packed to the brim, partygoers sang along to every word of her winning anthem, turning the performance into a full-blown celebration.
But Miriana wasn’t the only star to bring the house down! Kristy Spiteri, who came in second place with Heaven Sent, also delivered a powerhouse set, proving why she was such a fan favourite. And to top it all off, Maltese rap icon Owen Leuellen brought his signature energy, keeping the crowd hyped all night long.
The night at Toy Room wasn’t just a party—it was also a much-needed confidence boost for Miriana as she gears up for the Eurovision final in Basel, Switzerland, set to take place on 17 May. With just weeks to go, she’s been deep in rehearsals, perfecting her performance to represent Malta on one of the world’s biggest music stages.
Her Eurovision journey hasn’t been without controversy. Miriana originally won Malta’s national selection with a song called “Kant”, which means “singing” in Maltese. However, concerns were raised over how the title sounded in English, leading the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to request a name change. Now rebranded as “Serving”, the song retains its energy and message while ensuring a smooth path to Eurovision.
Despite the hurdles, Miriana’s performance at Blush proved she’s more than ready to take on Europe. If the crowd’s reaction at Toy Room is anything to go by, Malta’s Eurovision entry is set to make waves in Basel!
