Macaulay Culkin’s 3-Year Old Son Believes He Is Kevin From Home Alone

Dec 8 2024 Share

Macaulay Culkin’s 3-year-old son, Dakota, is such a fan of Home Alone that he believes he’s the star of the movie.

In an interview with E! News, Culkin, 42, shared that Dakota often confuses his dad’s role as Kevin with his own memories.

“He thinks he’s Kevin,” Culkin said. “I’ll ask him, ‘Do you remember going down the stairs on the sled?’ and he’ll say, ‘Mmhmm.’ I tell him, ‘That was me!’”

Culkin, who shares Dakota and a 2-year-old son with fiancée Brenda Song, joked about calling out Dakota’s tall tales: “You’re a lying liar who lies,” he laughed, referring to his son’s claims of fighting burglars.

While Dakota enjoys the holiday classic, Culkin’s brother Kieran, who also starred in the 1990 film, has taken a different approach with his own children.

Kieran revealed that his kids, Kinsey, 5, and Wilder, 3, aren’t allowed to watch Home Alone yet due to some of the film’s scarier moments. “For a 3-year-old, there’s the tarantula and the guy at the end saying, ‘I’m gonna bite off all your fingers.’ That’s scary,” Kieran explained.
