Local Suggests Closing Off Ta’ Qali From Cars Into Sport Haven

Taking to social media, Michael Saudi suggested turning Ta’ Qali into a ‘secure, closed-off sports zone’ whilst limiting car access so as to avoid dangerous driving and accidents.
‘Ta’ Qali is already one of the most used spaces for training and recreation’, he wrote, ‘from kids on bikes to runners, walkers, and athletes of every level.’
‘But it’s getting more and more dangerous. Cars speed through. People training are at risk and if your not paying 100% attention it could lead to something serious.’
‘Why not turn Ta’ Qali into what it should already be?’
He also suggested issuing permits for those working in the area and giving priority to people training and exercising.
‘With sports organisations already based here, and with so few open spaces left in Malta, Ta’ Qali has the potential to become a safe haven for the health, fitness, and community.’
