A local man out at sea by the name of Joseph Farrugia went viral on social media when he rescued a little turtle entangled in a net.

Amassing over 45.8K views on Facebook, Farrugia patiently removed the net from around the turtle with his knife before releasing the animal back into the water.

As he removed the net, he scoffed at the pollution thrown into the sea by human beings, urging everyone to be more mindful of how they treat our seas and biodiversity.

Well done Joseph!
