Lejla Sajfija Fil-Park Returns For 4th Edition

Lejla Sajfija fil-Park returned for its fourth edition at San Klement Park in Ħaż-Żabbar, organised by the Sustainable Development Directorate. The event provided a valuable chance for the public to connect with nature and learn more about sustainability.

Visitors enjoyed a varied programme featuring interactive stands from numerous organisations and sports activities. Health and wellness were a major focus, with information on balanced diets, healthy living, and health checks available on site.
Families discovered community and youth services as well as security and enforcement agencies. Exhibitions and hands-on activities engaged the public, while storytelling and live experiments brought science to life.

Minister for the Environment, Energy and Public Cleanliness, Miriam Dalli, expressed satisfaction at the growing public participation. She said these events encourage people to appreciate green spaces and foster shared responsibility for protecting the environment for future generations.
Francine Pace Caruana, Director for Sustainable Development, highlighted the event’s role in raising awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals and Malta’s commitment at the UN High-Level Political Forum.

Various entities including WasteServ, Project Green, the Energy and Water Agency, Ambjent Malta, Circular Economy Malta, the Environment and Resources Authority, and Saving Our Blue shared practical advice on waste reduction, water conservation, and protecting Malta’s habitats.
