Local DJ legend Joseph Armani announced the end of an era this week as he revealed that it is time for him to hang up his DJ-ing boots to focus on his son’s budding career.
The local artist took to social media to announce his retirement from music, saying that the moment he once thought would never come has finally arrived.
Performing his last proper DJ set at the Farsons Beer Festival, he explained his decision by saying that it did not pop out of the blue. Rather, it had been something he contemplated for a while, saying that now he is 100% sure about this decision.
‘As you all have noticed my Golden Boy Denzel Jo Armani is evolving into the next BIG thing… A superstar in the making, and for the past year or so, I have invested 75% of my time and energy on him as it is well deserved.’
‘So that got me thinking… 25% on my career is not enough, when I’ve always pushed to the limit to be the best in whatever I have done in my life.’
‘So now it’s Denzel’s turn to be the BEST and for that I MUST dedicate my 100%’ revealed the DJ. He also explained why he chose Farsons Beer Festival to be his official send off, receiving a farewell by a crowd of fans at the event later on.
He thanked all those who helped him on his journey – those who gave him the space to play his music as well as all the fans of his work and anyone who has ever danced as he dropped some tunes.
