Largest Ground Firework Transported From Gozo To Malta

A new national record in pyrotechnics was set in the Maltese Islands on Saturday during the celebrations marking the eve of the feast of St Venera.
The impressive feat was achieved by Andre Mercieca, who constructed the largest ground firework wheel ever built in Gozo.
The structure was then carefully transported to Malta, where it was successfully ignited in Santa Venera as part of the ground fireworks display.
The firework wheel measured an impressive 27 feet in width and reached a height of 35 feet.
‘Well done Andre, a man of great talent who always tries to invent new mechanical creations in the pyrotechnic field’, wrote Malta Records on social media.
